DynaVap M Vaporizer Review

Back in the days before portable vaporizers with built-in heating elements were a thing, those who partake used lighters and attempted to balance airflow and heat. With its VapCap line of devices, the DynaVap brand brings that nostalgia back and couples it with vaporizing. While some analog vaporizers might be difficult to learn how to use, the DynaVap brand makes it easy.

The 2019 DynaVap M is an upgrade over the already impressive 2018 version, making improvements such as: an improved tip, a design that is more ergonomic, and a finish that is more aesthetically pleasing. How to use the DynaVap M?

The DynaVap M is different than other Vaporizers and might take a few sessions for newbies to completely figure it out. Once you understand how it works, using this vaporizer is not hard at all. Just load up the device with your herbs, pack them down, and put the cap back on. Then take your torch and point the flame in the middle of the device, about two inches away from the cap. You’ll want to rotate the M while lighting your torch, just to make sure all your herbs get heated evenly. In less than 30 seconds, you’ll hear the device make a click, meaning it’s ready to rip. Inhale through a glass pipe. When the DynaVap M needs to be heated up again, the device will unclick. It’s really not that complicated.

How does the M VapCap work?

If you know how to drive a manual car, you understand the flexibility that comes with such a skill compared to that of driving automatics. The same is true in regards to the temperatures of the DynaVap M. You are in complete control over the temperature of your vape, but you must understand how to use it properly. The manual temperatures on the DynaVap M tend to run between150C – 230C. After about four or five sessions, most users understand how to get the optimal vaping experience out of their DynaVap vaporizers.

With the manual aspect of these devices, there is a very real risk of combustion when using DynaVap Vaporizers. To prevent combustion, be sure to remove your torch quickly after you hear the click. Heat up time is fast, almost always under 30 seconds, and sometimes less than 10 seconds. It depends on the type of torch lighter you use, and where you light the device. If you heat the tip, there is a different vaping experience than if you heat while slowly rotating the device on its side.  

DynaVap M Vapor Quality:

The vapor quality and flavor with the DynaVap M vaporizer is surprisingly great. The device is a true one hitter, but most users can get at least three hits from it, depending on how much is packed. If you find that your hits aren’t thick or strong enough, consider covering the carb. If you’re taking a lung-busting rip with the DynaVap M, you’ll most likely cough and experience some harshness. Convection style portable vaporizers are smoother, but smoothness isn’t necessarily the name of the DynaVap game.

What is the DynaVap M made out of?

The DynaVap brand is well known for being innovative and producing high quality devices that personify durability. The DynaVap M is no different. Its stainless steel build is virtually indestructible, while producing surprisingly solid vapor quality and taste. The 2019 version features an upgraded design for the grip and tactical stem, and those designs are pretty intricate and attractive. Is the DynaVap M portable?

At only 3.5 inches long, the DynaVap M is one of the smallest portable vaporizers on the market today, if not the smallest. Obviously this makes the M the most portable as well, just be sure to not forget about it stashed away in your pocket. You will have to carry a lighter around to use the device, but that doesn’t decrease its portability.

As far as discreetness, it’s rather difficult to make a torch lighter be discreet. So if discreetness is an issue for you, then you will want to look towards battery-powered devices. How to clean the DynaVap M?

According to the manufacturer’s website, the components of the DynaVap M not made from wood are safe to put in the dishwasher. All of the metal components are pulled apart easily, and can be cleaned by soaking in hot water. We recommend against using alcohol on this vaporizer, because that will damage wood parts and the quad rings. 

If there are marks left from using a lighter on the stainless steel DynaVap M, there are a few methods to remove those. First, wash the cap thoroughly with hot water. Then, apply a cleaning agent like baking soda, steel wool or metal polish. If you’re more a minimalist, you might consider simply picking up vape cleaning sticks. 

DynaVap M Conclusion

For under $100, the DynaVap M is one of the best performing manual vaporizers on the market today. It is virtually indestructible, the vapor quality is solid, and there is never any need for a charge. However, the small chamber size and the need for using large torches with this device might be a turnoff for some.

If you are looking to enter the vaporization world with a unit that does use a battery, consider checking out the Utillian 421.
