We were overall pretty impressed with the Flowermate units we’ve reviewed in the past, like the Slick Vaporizer and the V5 Nano. Devices from the Flowermate brand tend to be easy to use, durable, sleek looking, and affordable. The same seems to hold true when it comes to their sibling, the Flowermate Uno. This mid-range unit features precision controls, a wide range of precision temperature controls and good vapor quality, and the ability to vape both dry herbs and concentrates.
If you’re looking at dry herb portable vaporizers for the very first time, we highly recommend reading our Vaporizer Buying Guide on them, so you can get a better idea of what to look for when shopping around.
With all of that in mind, let’s get into our Flowermate Uno review!

How to use the Flowermate Uno ?
The Flowermate Uno dry herb portable vaporizer is straightforward and easy to use. The OLED display is bright (maybe even too bright) and allows you to easily find your desired temperature. Power it on, select your temperature setting and wait for it to heat up. When it’s ready to go in 15-25 seconds, it will vibrate aka provide haptic feedback to let you know.
For the best results, we recommend grinding your dry herbs to a medium grind and packing the chamber about three-quarters of the way. Don’t pack it down too tightly, or you risk restricting the airflow. If you are looking for a weed grinder that will last a lifetime, check out this durable 4-layer aluminum grinder from Tools420.
Flowermate Uno Temperature Settings
The Flowermate Uno has a wide range of precision temperature controls, from 60°C/140°F up to 230°C/446°F. The higher temperatures actually perform quite well when vaping concentrates, which typically isn’t the case when it comes to devices with dual functionality.
This wide range of temperature settings gives you a lot of flexibility and options. You can choose the lower settings for flavorful, thin clouds. Or, you can pick the higher settings for some serious vapor production. If you are looking for that sweet spot of delicious flavor and still decent clouds, we recommend vaping right around the 150-175°C/302-347°F range.
Flowermate Uno Chamber and Heater
The Uno uses convection heating and features a steel heating chamber. Steel chambers might mean that the unit or draws get a bit too hot on other devices, but that is not the case with the Uno. Most draws were pretty cool and adding a water pipe adapter chilled the vapor even more. The chamber can fit about 0.4 grams of dry flower, which is a pretty nice size that did not disappoint.
Flowermate Uno Vapor Quality
The vapor production on the Flowermate Uno is excellent! The device packs some noticeable power and will produce some thick clouds. The vapor flavor and smoothness are slightly above average. It’s nothing too special, but it’s not bad, either. Towards the end of a dry herb session on high heat settings can be harsh on the throat, so you will want to use the water pipe adapter if possible.
The flavor we got from draws when vaping concentrates were about the same – nothing premium, but not bad. The vapor production from concentrates is noticeably better than that of other devices with dual functionality.
When you unbox any portable vaporizer, be sure to do a “burn off” at least twice to remove factory smells and any residue that might have been left behind in the manufacturing process.
Flowermate Uno Battery Life
The Uno uses a replaceable battery and its battery life is a bit lacking compared to other mid-range devices. Most consumers get about 4 to 6 sessions or about 90 minutes total from the dual functionality vaporizer. The battery is 1800mAh and takes 2-3 hours to fully charge. For a little bit more money, the Arizer Air Max lasts almost twice as long!
Aesthetics and Manufacturing Quality
The Uno looks and feels like a durable, working-class vape – which is certainly not a bad thing. The Uno is well-built and will probably last a long time. The metal finish gives the device some heft, and even though it does use some plastic, those components don’t feel cheap. We thought that the rotating mouthpiece that is magnetic was a nice touch. It is also quite easy to load, with minimal herb spillage.
The unit is listed as having a black finish, but it actually looks a bit more like a dark grey or charcoal to us. Either way, it does look pretty nice. The water piper adapter is a solid addition, but it can fall off from time to time. The adapter fits up to 18.8 mm sized joints. The auto shut off feature was also a nice touch, as it helps to preserve both battery life and material that isn’t vaped if you want to come back and finish it later.
- We think a device like the AirVape Legacy Pro looks and feels a little bit better than the Uno, but we are probably nitpicking here.
Portability and Discreetness
The unit is not the most portable or discreet vaporizer, but it will fit into your pocket easily enough. It is about five inches, which isn’t huge but also isn’t the most compact, either. The Uno looks like your typical vape mod, which probably won’t get a look from most people, especially if you are vaping concentrates and the odor is low.
One knock here is that the display is super bright and we couldn’t find a way to turn it down. This could draw some unwanted attention at nighttime, but it’s not a huge deal. A similarly priced device is the Utillian 722, but the 722 is more portable and discreet than the Uno.
Flowermate Uno Accessories
The Uno comes with an impressive accessory kit. In the box, you get the Uno itself, the internal battery, a dock for charging, extra mouthpiece and chamber screens, a pad for vaping concentrates, a tool for packing, a brush for cleaning, a water pipe adapter, a USB cable, and the instruction manual.
The Uno also comes with a decent 1-year warranty on manufacturing, and a 6-month warranty on the battery.
How to Clean the Flowermate Uno?
Maintaining the Uno is pretty simple. Just brush out the chamber after every session and take a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol to the chamber and the mouthpiece every two or three sessions. You will probably want to soak the mouthpiece in some alcohol as well to make sure that and residue buildup is removed. If you are tired of dipping your cotton swabs in alcohol, check out our handy prepackaged Vaporizer cleaning sticks from Tools420.
Bottom Line
The Uno has a lot of positive features. It produces huge clouds, features convection heating and precision controls, is durable and comes with some solid accessories. The battery life could be better and so could the vapor flavor and smoothness. But for a mid-range priced device, we were impressed with the Flowermate Uno.

I bit the bullet and bought the Flowermate Uno despite some skepticism I’ve encountered on Reddit. Actually quite happy with this vaporizer and to me it would almost be perfect if it had a different removable battery. It does have a removable battery, but a standard one like an 18650 battery would be the best for sure.
The vapor quality is quite nice and it has some fairly good clouds and hits given the size and dimensions. I would liken it to a Boundless Tera just a little more portability but not quite as powerful as the Tera. A good vape for sure though and I enjoy using it quite a lot.
Can u guys do a Flowermate uno vs Flowermate v5 nano review please? Not sure which vape to get I have a low budget but willing to spend a lot on a good weed vape thanks a lot.
Uno Dos TRES SLAPS. This thing slapped me so hard upside the head with a high I swear my mom just beat my head in with a shoe lmfaoooo. Rocks my head almost like a dab lmao I just grind and pack a fat bowl and put it on max temp right away go right to ripping the taste is primo n the clouds r pretty heavy. Not like my vape but a lot for weed.
I’m a medical cannabis patient and bought this device and I liked the idea of a removable battery. I went ahead and got this device after recommendation and I can say I’m definitely very satisfied with it. I very much like the flavor and taste and is a world of difference compared to back when I would smoke joints a good 10 years back.
Mmmm super silver haze ripped fat thru this vape worked amazing and gives the best effects. Amazing flavor, perfect size, hits hard. Looks like an ordinary old vape but little do they know its actually for weed!! Haha no problem its legal here anyways so theres no sketchin but still really nice for it to be so incognito.
I actually never smoked weed before and I bought this vape not knowing anything and I’d say im very pleasantly surprised by it! Haven’t never tried weed ever until last week I can firmly say that I prefer this over smoking even if I’ve never done it before. The taste is also very interesting I can taste some like lemon mint from my weed its like beer tasting!
Cool vape is it out yet?
Yes it is.
How do I clean the Flowermate uno though?? I bought it a couple weeks ago and put my question on Reddit but that got deleted so I need help please!
Good vaporizer, thought it does look a little odd to me. The materials and construction is a bit strange and looks a bit like a walkey talkey but it definitely works really well! Doesn’t fit too well in my pockets but I wear skinny jeans most of the time anyways. Bowl is big and you can load it with like half a gram of herb or something like this.
Flowermate slick vs Flowermate uno review pls??
