We’re big fans of new tech and innovation hitting the vaporizer scene. Here you’ll find all the dry herb vaporizers (portable & desktop) wax vapes (pens & e-rigs) and oil vapes that we’ve caught rumours on or are bound to release. This will be a growing and evolving list as time goes on, so feel free to drop a comment if you are in the know of an up-and-coming vaporizer.

Without further ado, here’s our list of upcoming and rumored vaporizers in all categories!

Dry herb

This includes all the dedicated dry herb vaporizers – be it portable or desktop. This includes units that vaporize waxy concentrates but are primarily geared towards dry herb.

Portable

Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel (coming soon!)

Oh, we’re excited about a new Mighty+ vape coming out soon! After the Crafty+ being an incremental yet quality upgrade over the original unit, we have high hopes for a new unit to blow us out of the water.

Knowing Storz & Bickel it likely will have a similar/identical shape, no removable battery, but excellent performance. We’re keeping our eyes peeled for more details.

Neo by Prrl Labs

They went silent after the great concept of the Pearl Ember but came back with the Neo. The idea? Use any compatible pipe or glass piece as the bowl and the Neo is the heat source.

We like the concept but wonder about its complete practicality as a portable unit as you need a separate unit to act as the bowl. We reckon it’ll be a great way to get a regulated Sticky Brick-like experience without the risk of combustion. A neat unit indeed!

Elium vaporizer

Motorized dosing control for dry herb and concentrates? While the project has gone silent ever since its announcement the other year, we still have hopes as this could be a breakthrough product in the medical cannabis sphere.

The Elium vape is likely going to fetch a high price though we’re optimistic as it is being developed by a real cannabis lover who wants to do things right. The latest design concept is very interesting and we hope for the best!

Aisvape Trio

A new name to the scene, the Aisvape Trio is just launching now in Jan of 2021 and it seems to be a promising tiny little unit. 3 removable chambers for each wax, oil, and dry herb – is it finally the first 3-in-1 to actually deliver?

Miniscule in stature and inexpensive, we’re keen to get our hands on one and see how it actually performs after a half-decade of 3-in-1s that don’t put out like we’d like them to.

Davinci IQ2 S

A top-secret device that’s only been rumored about so far! With the Davinci IQ2 blazing the trail for technologically fueled vaporization we can only imagine what the next evolution will bring. Voice activation? Strain recognition? Holograms?! We will soon find out!

Desktop

Units made to be used at home either via plug or slightly portable, here are all the upcoming and unreleased desktop dry herb vapes.

Deskpod by ModPodLabs

ModPodLabs brought us the beloved StemPod – a resilient and modular 510-threaded dry herb vaporizer system. Now with a DeskPod seemingly around the corner, we’re all ready to see how it works!

It seems to borrow inspiration from units like the FlowerPot, Elev8r, and e-nail tech. Listed at $439 USD it’s a pricey piece of kit but we have high hopes as the team at ModPodLabs knows what they’re doing.

Wisp Vaporizer

A Nespresso machine but for dry herb? Color us confused and entertained, the Wisp is an interesting and seemingly wasteful concept that uses disposable pods to fill up cups.

Not to mention it looks like a baby bottle warmer, we wonder how practical and attractive it is.

We reckon it has potential for medical cannabis patients and those who want simplicity over performance. It looks like the company has disappeared in the past while after a strong marketing attempt in 2018/2019. We’ll see what happens.

Pens

Torch by Releafy

Small, compact, and a glass mouthpiece – the Torch seems quite like many other dry herb vapes out there what with 4 preset temperatures and a ceramic heating element. Perhaps there’s something else engineered within that we’re not so sure of.

Touted to come out at 100 GBP we’ll keep our eyes open for developments on this unit though we’re not quite convinced unit we have it in our hands or hear some user reports.

All we know is the suggested MSRP of 60 GBP for a wax pen. That’s on the high-end of pricing for wax pen vapes and perhaps there’s something around the corner that will be interesting. We’re keeping our senses about to catch any developments on these vapes.

E-Rigs

Mobile Vaporization Pipe by FadeSpace

The concept of the MVP is as interesting as can be. It reminds us of the wonderful yet disappointing Hydrology9 fused with the G Pen Roam to create a space-age bit of kit.

With a suggested price tag of $450 USD, we have high expectations. Geared to use a DNA 250c chip for precise temperature control and 4200mAh of juice from 2 * 21700 batteries, the engineering behind it seems to be well thought out.

Time will tell what comes of this futuristic project which is set to launch around March 2021.

Reflux by Indux Labs

This space-age unit seems to really be the créme de la créme as far as concentrates vapes go. They seem to be using induction to power the heating element and units appear to be at a whopping $1,350 for their base models.

We have no doubt that there’s some impressive engineering and materials behind this vape. We’re excited to see what Indux Labs can put out and who on earth can afford to buy it.

Lookah Unicorn e-rig

Knock-off Puffco Peak? We’re not sure, but the Lookah Unicorn e-rig seems to focus around aesthetics though they have some neat features up their sleeve. There have been so many e-rigs coming out lately it’s hard to keep track of them all.

With the shape of a unicorn horn, the aptly-named e-rig seems to have an intuitive user experience which is easy to disassemble and clean while using quartz as the insert material. A 1900mAh cell charged by MicroUSB is decent and it looks to be an alright mid-range e-rig.

Oil vapes

None are on our radar currently.

Other neat things

Tornado Dynavap IH by MagHeater

We’re very interested in the Tornado MagHeater unit after having the pleasure of testing the MagHeater Slim IR. What sets this apart from any other induction heater out there is the use of infrared tech to incorporate temperature control into the design.

Put your Dynavap in and leave it there – the Tornado will heat your Dynavap and keep it at a set temperature. Incredibly impressive and the next level compared to regular induction heaters, we’re extremely keen to see developments on this unit.

Not to mention the aesthetics and meticulous attention to detail by the creator, we have no doubts it’ll be the pinnacle of the Dynavap experience and will be well worth the high asking price.

There you have it! If you’ve spotted any new tech on the horizon or know something that we don’t, please drop us a line or leave a comment and we’ll be glad to integrate that into our list!
