- Easy to Use
- Compact, Portable and Sleek Design
- Swappable Batteries
- Glass Mouthpiece
- Quality Vapor
- Precision Temperature Settings
- Hybrid Heating

Heating System & Chamber Size
The V5 Nano vape uses a hybrid heating system, a combination of convection and conduction. Its chamber is unique, being made of high quality black ceramic. The combination of the black ceramic chamber and hybrid heating offers a nice vaporization experience. The V5 Nano is less than 4 inches and weighs only 5 ounces, so it doesn’t have the biggest chamber. You can pack about 0.25 grams or so into the V5 Nano.
How to use the V5 Nano?
The Flowermate V5 Nano vaporizer is powered up when you press the button on the top of the device five times. It will vibrate and the OLED screen will turn on when it’s ready to be packed with your dry herb or concentrates. We recommend grinding your dry herbs to about medium ground. The loading tool is handy for packing your herbs down into the chamber as far as possible. For the best possible vaping experience however, don’t pack the V5 Nano too tightly, so the heat is distributed evenly.
Once it’s loaded up, choose which temperature you would like to vape at using the up and down buttons. If you want to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius, hold both of the buttons at the same time. The device heats up in about 30 to 45 seconds, and then haptic feedback and the display screen will indicate it’s ready to go.
Temperature Settings
The V5 Nano has a wide temperature range from 40C-230C and is controlled precisely. The temperature setting is displayed on a bright, attractive OLED screen. While the black ceramic chamber withstands the higher temperatures nicely, we recommend the sweet spot at right around 200C. This means that you’ll get vapor that is thick, smooth and tasty but not too hot on the throat. The V5 Nano has higher temperatures than a powerhouse like the Mighty, for a fraction of the cost.
Vapor Quality
For how compact the V5 Nano is, it delivers some pretty solid vapor quality. If you’ve never used a glass mouthpiece, you’ll definitely notice a difference. The V5 Nano offers smooth hits right up until you get to the higher temperatures. We don’t recommend vaping too much higher than 200C or so if you are sensitive to thick draws. Overall, the V5 Nano offers decent vapor, especially for its budget price range.
Flowermate v5 nano review: Battery Life
One of the best parts about the Flowermate V5 Nano Vaporizer is that you can swap out the Lithium-Ion 2500mAh batteries. This is particularly useful considering the battery life isn’t the best out there, mostly due to the small size of the V5 Nano. The Flowermate brand recommends that you use the batteries that they sell, but you could probably get away with using just about any compatible batteries with the V5 Nano. You’ll get about 30 minutes of usage out of each charge with the V5 Nano. Those who are looking for a bigger battery should possibly check out the Utilian 721.
Aesthetics & Manufacturing Quality
The V5 Nano is made from anodized aluminum and blends with black glass. Flowermate is known for producing high quality devices, and the V5 Nano is no different in that department. All of the buttons and threading are well made and integrated nicely into the V5 Nano. The Nano is attractively designed, and we think it looks sleeker and more stylish than its siblings the Flowermate V5 Mini and the Flowermate V5 Pro.
Portability & Discreetness
The Flowermate V5 Nano vaporizer is one of the most portable units on the market today, at less than 4 inches and weighing only 5 ounces. The device might even look like a small power bank to most people just passing you by. The mouthpiece tucks in easily for worry-free storage and carrying. The Nano does emit a bit more smells than some other portable vaporizers do, so be aware of that if you need to keep it super discreet.
How to clean the v5 nano?
Because of its compact design, cleaning the V5 Nano is a breeze. After each session, most of your leftover material will be easily removed with the cleaning brush. Every so often you’ll want to take a cotton swap to it that was dipped in alcohol. Since the unit is so compact and small, you really don’t have much to clean except for the chamber and the mouthpiece, which only takes a few minutes after each session. For a really deep clean, check out our ZEUS Grime Sticks.
Flowermate v5 nano review summary
For a very affordable price, the V5 Nano offers solid vapor, discreet portability, removable batteries, hybrid heating and dual functionality. It is also easy to use, built to last and comes with a lot of high quality accessories. While the Flowermate Mini Pro and the Flowermate V5 Pro cost less than the V5 Nano, you’re still getting a lot of bang for your buck at a great price. We would recommend the V5 Nano to both newbies and experience vaporizer enthusiasts alike.
