How the Volcano Hybrid Works
Unlike the Classic Volcano Vaporizer, there are no switches or knobs on the Hybrid as it uses either the simple touch screen or the smartphone app for all of its functions.
The user interface controls are user-friendly, but it will take a few sessions to fully understand the Hybrid because of how much you can customize your sessions!
To operate the Volcano on the touch screen, all you have to do is simply press the big ‘heat’ button and then the ‘air’ button to start pumping vapor through your balloon or whip.
If the 0.5g sized oven chamber is intimidating, you’ll also be able to use the Volcano Hybrid Chamber Reducer which will better let you use dosing capsules, or reduce the chamber size down to 0.25g.
Whip or Balloon Easy Valve System
Most Desktop Vaporizers use either balloons or tubes & the new and improved Volcano Hybrid can vape with either as opposed to just balloons on the Classic model! Just plug it into an outlet with the detachable power cord, turn it on, heat it, and enjoy! All you’ll have to do is attach either the hookah or balloon to the easy chamber valve after you’ve loaded your herb, and the Hybrid will do all of the work for you!
On that note, the Hybrid is great for sharing at parties because you’ll be able to turn the pump on and pass around a few balloons, or let the whip shoot out vapor to friends.
Powerful Hybrid Heating System
The heating system uses powerful convection and conduction system to heat the herb in the chamber. What truly sets the Hybrid apart from the competition though, is the innovative new airpath technology that Storz and Bickel call the ‘double helix’.
Air will be taken in from the bottom of the hybrid, heated up as it passes along these helix tubes, and then brought up through your herb chamber. With the new metal ring in the chamber, it will also heat up along with the metal chamber screen to add a layer of conduction heating to your session. This redesigned heating system has also reduced the heat-up down to 90 seconds from 3 minutes on the Classic Vaporizer.
The result is that the Volcano Hybrid Dry Herb Vaporizer delivers a unique vaping experience, unlike anything you’ve tried before, as vapor simply PUMPS out of it! You can get small and flavorful microdoses or large, lung-busting ones – and they taste delicious every time, thanks to the double helix heating system.

Very fast heating, balloon filling, and hookah capabilities compared to the Classic which I upgraded from after years of heavy use and abuse. The app integration is decent, will let you activate remotely. Wouldn’t suggest the workflow app as it can be a bit confusing and somewhat useless.

Tools420 was fast to ship and my volcano hybrid was perfectly packed. I have two Herbalizers I have used for years now and this is what they should have been. Much better flow, higher dosing capacity and solid performance is now available in a desktop whip. The time difference to heat up is still in Herbie’s favour but only slightly – certainly not enough to worry about. I keep Herbie as a spare now…I’ll miss him and he filled a void when no other high end whip was out there. Now the new boss is in town. Tools420 is a great choice for no worry ordering – at least in my experience.

I bought this vaporizer as an alternative to having to walk outside every time I want to smoke some weed in my apartment and I’m really glad I did. I also feel like it’s a lot less aggressive on your lungs so a great at home alternative if your trying to be cautious of that sort of thing, and Tools420 had the best price out of like 20 websites I checked so all and all I think it was a great investment.

The real king of dry herb vapes, I’ve had 15 different weed vapes (I know, I have a problem) and this one is by far the best. I just normally use it with a whip and often connect that to my bubbler with a 14mm WPA and the hits are so huge and tasty. It took the #1 spot after the Cloud Evo was my fave for so long.

Alright here’s my Volcano Hybrid review: Kicks the @$$ of my Volcano Digit and OG Volcano Classic which I’ve had for over a decade. I don’t know what Storz & Bickel did but the vapor quality is even better – dense vapor, great flavor, and nice hits. It’s a really expensive weed vape but the Volcano Hybrid is worth it if you want the best of the best. I hope it lasts as long as my Volcano Classic!
Shoutout to the customer service here for helping me with the Storz & Bickel controversy with the Volcano Hybrid aluminum health thing going on. I got sorted out quickly with fast support and now I’m back to vaping again. If you want a good table top vaporizer (or the best) then I think it’s safe to say the Hybrid is the best.

It’s my tabletop vaporizer and I use my Arizer argo on the go. One light hitter and one monster cloud chucker! Oh and really fast shipping A++++, sucks it costs so much for the device but if I have it for 10 yrs then its worth it.
