How to Use Boveda Humidity Packs

1. Remove the Boveda pack from its resealable bag, ensuring you reseal the bag afterward to maintain pack freshness.
2. Place the Boveda pack directly in your dry herbs container. If you’re using a high-quality CVault Storage Container, there’s a designated compartment for the pack.
3. Seal your container tightly to keep the environment airtight. This ensures the humidity stays regulated for maximum preservation.
4. Do not mix Boveda packs of different RH levels within the same container. Also, avoid using other humidification products in conjunction with Boveda to maintain its efficiency.

How Long Do Boveda Packs Last?

Boveda packs are great for keeping your dry herbs fresh by balancing the humidity in a sealed container. They usually last anywhere from 2 to 6 months, depending on how often you open the container and how moist your dry herbs is. If you don’t open the pack, it can last up to 2 years.

You’ll know it’s time to replace the pack when it gets hard and stops doing its job. If you’re opening the container a lot, it’s a good idea to swap it out every 3 months. Just make sure to have a new one ready before the old one turns completely solid.

How Long Will It Take to Rehydrate My Dry Herbs?

It typically takes up to 48 hours for Boveda packs to fully rehydrate dry or stale dry herbs. During this time, the pack will restore moisture, preserving the freshness, texture, and potency of your buds. 

For best results, use a sealed, airtight container like CVault to ensure the humidity stays stable and the rehydration process is as effective as possible.

Can Boveda Packs be Reused?

You shouldn’t try to recharge used Boveda humidity packs for dry herbs if you want the best protection for your items. The company doesn’t recommend it because recharged packs can’t provide the precise humidity control that fresh ones do. There’s also a risk that rehydrated packs might develop sharp salt crystals that could damage the pack and even leak, harming your items. To keep your products safe, it’s best to replace old Boveda packs with new ones.
