    Review Summary

The Bomb Sykloud is a capable mid-range e-rig with a large 3D ceramic chamber, precise temperature control, and strong cloud production. The problem is value: it costs enough that several established alternatives offer either better performance, easier operation, or similar results for less money.

    Key Highlights:

    • Extra-Large 3D Chamber – Good capacity and even heating for larger dabs
    • Spinner Carb Cap – Helps move concentrate around the chamber and improves airflow
    • Big Clouds & Good Flavor – Strong vapor production, especially at higher temperatures
    • Easy to Use – Simple one-button controls, although there is no temperature-down button
    • Precise Temperature Control – Adjustable from 200°F to 700°F
    • Battery Life – Around 20–30 dabs per charge with relatively slow recharging
    • Overall Value – Good performance, but difficult to recommend at its price

    Introduction

The Bomb Sykloud is a mid-range electric dab rig built around a large 3D ceramic chamber, precise temperature adjustment, water filtration, and a spinner-style carb cap.

Since Tools420 doesn’t currently carry the Bomb Sykloud, the Core 2.1 is the value-focused alternative I’d compare first. It also uses a large 3D ceramic atomizer and straightforward controls, but it delivers a similar easy-to-use e-rig experience at a significantly lower price.

Other direct competitors include the New Puffco Peak and Utillian 8 V2, while premium rigs like the Puffco Peak Pro 3DXL and Dr. Dabber Switch 2 offer more advanced heating and customization.

I put the Bomb Sykloud through multiple sessions to see how its chamber, vapor quality, controls, battery life, and overall value compare with the current e-rig competition.

    How It Works

The Bomb Sykloud is designed to keep operation fairly simple while still giving you much more temperature control than a typical preset-based e-rig. Its ceramic chamber heats concentrate across a large surface area and works with the spinner carb cap to help distribute melted wax around the chamber.

    Basic Controls

    • Power On/Off: Press the power button five times quickly
    • Temperature Range: 200°F–700°F / 93°C–371°C
    • Enter Precise Temperature Mode: Press the button three times quickly
    • Adjust Temperature: Single press to increase in 1°F increments
    • Increase Continuously: Press and hold
    • Exit Temperature Mode: Wait about three seconds
    • Switch °F / °C: Press the button four times quickly
    • Manual Heating: Press and hold the button
    • Auto Heating: Double-click the button

The unusual part is that there isn’t a dedicated temperature-down control. If you overshoot your preferred setting, you may have to continue cycling through the range before returning to a lower temperature.

How to Clean the Bomb Sykloud

    Atomizer Cleaning

    1. Allow the atomizer to cool before removing it from the base.
    2. For routine maintenance, use an ISO cleaning stick lightly moistened with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol to remove residue from the chamber.
    3. For heavier buildup, follow the manufacturer’s instructions for deep-cleaning the removable atomizer components. Do not soak the electronic base or reinstall any component while it is still wet.

    Base Cleaning

    1. Remove the glass bubbler and atomizer before cleaning.
    2. Use a lightly moistened isopropyl swab to clean the gold contact points and airpath.
    3. Never submerge the base or allow water into the electronics.
    4. Make sure all contacts are completely dry before reassembling the device.

    Glass Bubbler Cleaning

    1. Carefully remove the bubbler from the base.
    2. Use isopropyl alcohol to loosen concentrate buildup inside the glass.
    3. Rinse the glass thoroughly with water afterward.
    4. Allow it to dry completely before reinstalling it.
    5. Avoid letting water enter the atomizer or electronic airpath when reassembling the rig.

    Flavor & Vapor Quality

The Bomb Sykloud produces strong vapor from its large ceramic chamber. Lower temperatures preserve more flavor, while higher settings can generate thick, dense clouds.

The spinner carb cap is more than a visual gimmick. Spinning it helps move melted concentrate around the chamber, which can improve contact with the heated surface and reduce pooling in one spot.

The oversized 3D chamber also holds heat well and gives larger dabs plenty of surface area to vaporize.

That said, the New Puffco Peak has the edge for flavor consistency and overall refinement. The Bomb can produce impressive clouds, but I found the vapor slightly harsher at comparable higher-temperature settings.

If maximum vapor production is the priority, the Bomb performs well. If flavor and smoothness matter more, there are stronger options around the same general price range.

    Design & Build Quality

The Bomb Sykloud has a compact, modern design and is available in several bright colors. Its glossy finish gives it more personality than minimalist competitors like the Core 2.1, although appearance is obviously subjective.

    The main components include:

    • A sturdy electronic base with the battery, display, and controls
    • A removable glass bubbler for water filtration
    • A large 3D ceramic chamber
    • A stainless-steel spinner carb cap

The quarter-turn chamber connection makes installation straightforward, and the overall layout is easy to understand once you’ve assembled it once.

The glass bubbler is naturally the most fragile component, so you’ll want to take extra care when carrying or cleaning the rig.

    Temperature Control

The Bomb Sykloud offers precise temperature adjustment from 200°F to 700°F / 93°C to 371°C, which gives it considerably more control than e-rigs limited to three or four fixed presets.

This lets you experiment with lower temperatures for flavor and higher settings for denser vapor. However, I still found the vapor somewhat harsher than premium competitors even when running relatively low temperatures.

The bigger usability issue is the one-way temperature adjustment. There is no dedicated minus button, so lowering the temperature after increasing it can be unnecessarily awkward.

Unlike the Puffco Peak Pro or Focus V Carta Sport, the Bomb also doesn’t offer app-based session customization or remote temperature control.

This isn’t a deal-breaker, but it makes the otherwise impressive precise temperature system feel less polished than it could be.

    Battery Life & Portability

Battery life is one of the weaker parts of the Bomb Sykloud. I found that it delivers roughly 20–30 dabs per charge depending on temperature and session length.

Charging is handled through USB-C, but a full recharge can take around two to three hours. For a device with such a large chamber, the battery drains faster than I’d like during repeated high-temperature sessions.

The battery is also built into the base rather than replaceable, so long-term battery degradation eventually affects the entire device.

The Bomb is compact enough to bring on trips, but the bubbler and overall e-rig format aren’t ideal for quick sessions away from home. If you mainly want fast concentrate hits while traveling or during a short break, a wax pen will generally be much easier to carry.

    Ease of Use

The Bomb Sykloud is generally easy to operate thanks to its single-button interface and built-in display. Once you understand the click combinations, starting a session is straightforward.

The main annoyance is again the lack of a temperature-down button. Precise temperature control sounds great on paper, but adjusting it isn’t as intuitive as it should be.

My favorite part of the design is the spinner carb cap. It spins almost like a small fidget spinner, which is fun to use but also functional. A quick spin helps move melted concentrate around the chamber and encourages more even vaporization.

Final Verdict – Should You Buy the Bomb Sykloud?

The Bomb Sykloud is a capable mid-range e-rig with an attractive design, straightforward operation, a large 3D chamber, and impressive cloud production. The spinner carb cap is both fun and useful, while precise temperature control gives you considerably more adjustment than many preset-based rigs.

Its biggest weakness is value. The battery life isn’t especially impressive, charging is slow for a modern USB-C device, and the one-direction temperature control makes the interface more frustrating than it needs to be.

Since Tools420 doesn’t currently carry the Bomb Sykloud, I’d start with the Core 2.1 if value is your main priority. It delivers a similarly straightforward 3D ceramic e-rig experience while costing considerably less.

If you’re willing to spend closer to the Bomb’s price but care more about flavor, polish, and overall refinement, the New Puffco Peak is the stronger choice.

If app-based customization is important, the Focus V Carta Sport offers more advanced control, while the Utillian 8 V2 is another solid mid-range option for users who want strong vapor without moving into premium e-rig pricing.

Overall, the Bomb Sykloud isn’t a bad e-rig. It simply doesn’t offer enough extra performance or convenience to stand out against the competition at its price.
