Compared to all other Dr. Dabber Switch Induction Cups, Silicon Carbide as a material will heat up the slowest but retain heat better than the Sapphire Cup, which is why people enjoy it for its balance of flavor and vapor output around the 500°F-560°F / 260°C-293°C mark. Your Dr. Dabber Switch must be in crystal mode to use this induction cup.
SiC Cup Tips and Tricks
Because it takes longer for the SIC cup to heat up, you’ll have some pooling and bubbling of your dab if you load too much in. With the SiC cup, less is truly more and will provide you with better results. Using long and slow inhales will keep the temperature in the cup stable and also prevent splashing. Because you’ll get a very good flavor profile, you’ll also want to stick to good quality dabs like medical-grade crystals or live rosin which will further boost the experience.
- Because this bucket is narrower than other cups for the Switch when you’re using a direction airflow carb cap, the turbulence can also cause splashing, so your best bet will be to point the air to the edge of the bowl.
