Almost all of the features of the Slash are focused on being sleek.

Is the Stonesmiths’ Slash discreet?

At 13cm (H) × 7.5cm (W) × and 6cm in length, the Slash is super portable, coming in at just over 300g. It fits in your hand well and can be hidden almost entirely in public.

The Slash is also relatively discrete as the clouds on the lower two settings are minimal.

With a heat-absorbent zinc body and rubber mouthpiece cap, you won’t be getting any sense of burning sensation on your lips or hands. As the vape heats up quickly as well, it’s super optimized for low keys sessions while you’re out on the go session. I would also highlight that with a built-in dab tool, you’ll have one less thing to whip out for sessions as you won’t need a dab tool.

  • The other thing I liked about this device is the six-chambered silicone dab container it comes with. For anyone who likes to have multiple types of concentrate on the go, this is the perfect tool to take along with you in your pocket.

Suitable Substances

The Stonesmiths’ Slash can be used with your favorite resins, wax, dabs, or shatter in the ceramic coil-less bucket. You may need to use one or two 12-second pre-heating sessions to vaporize any super thick concentrates, but in the end, you’ll be able to get good vapor.

Is the Stonesmiths’ Slash vapor quality good?

One of the best features of the Stonesmiths’ Slash is its excellent vapor quality. Once the vape is on, the integrated dab tool will slowly drip your wax down onto the bottom of the bucket. By not having the concentrate directly on hot coils, the bucket is going to prevent any sort of burnt taste in the mouthpiece.

On the mouthpiece, there are two airflow ports that you can hear whistling when you inhale. They cycle air below the coils and up into the mouthpiece for a very enjoyable session that is very easy to draw from. The fresh air also helps to cool the vapor down and also boost the terpene profile you’ll get. Just don’t expect to get any massive clouds, as the Slash is definitely more for people who prefer the flavor from their dabs.

Manufacturing Quality

When you get it up and running, the Slash definitely holds up to its competition. From the magnetic cap to the threaded connections, to the built-in dab tool, everything feels well thought out and implemented. The ceramic coil-less bowl also works well and gets the job done in a clean fashion that avoids any of the stickiness.

The device is sturdy and the included chamber sleeve helped prevent scratches, but since the body never really gets warm you won’t ever have to use it.

Battery Life

The Slash has a 1000mah internal battery that is well above what was expected in an entry-level wax pen. The USB-C charging is a huge plus as well, as it charges back up quickly and will be compatible with a battery bank. You’ll be able to determine where your battery is by the lights on the front of the device.

  • Three solid LEDs mean it is 90%-100% charged, two solid and one flashing means 60%-90% battery, one solid LED and one flashing means 30%-60%, and one flashing LED means less than 30%.

While it’s hard to track the battery life in terms of minutes, we were able to get about two days of light use before needing a recharge.

Wax Pens Comparisons

Compared to a similar device like the Puffco Plus, while the temperature settings might be lower, the 1000mAh battery on the Slash is vastly superior to the 600 on the Stella. Especially since the higher temperatures will drain the battery a lot faster, we find the Slash kit to be a lot more optimal for most users.

Is the Slash Wax Vape easy to use?

The Slash is very simple to use, let’s take a look at the basic commands:

  • 5 taps to turn it on, 3 to change voltages (blue is 300 C, green is 360 C, and red is 420 C), and 2 to use the auto 12-second heat-up function

There are five distinct parts to the Slash that make it a super understandable wax pen for beginners and connoisseurs alike.

  1. Rubber Capped Mouthpiece
  2. Ceramic Heating Chamber
  3. Battery Indicator LED lights
  4. Power Button
  5. USB-C Charging Port

It is also relatively easy to clean as the mouthpiece comes apart into three pieces – the silicone top, the metal body, and the dab tool at the bottom.

How to clean the Stonesmiths’ Slash?

To clean the Stonesmiths’ Slash wax vaporizer, the main parts you’ll have to keep clean will be the integrated dab tool and the ceramic bucket.

For the bucket, we recommend using vape cleaning sticks right after a session while the resin is still warm. On the integrated dab tool on the mouthpiece, use isopropyl alcohol wipes to get the buildup on the dab tool’s spoon.

As a rule of thumb, you don’t want to get alcohol on the rubber mouthpiece as it can destroy its properties over time.

Stone Smith Slash Mouthpiece and Chamber

Pros

  • Very smooth and tasteful hits
  • Great airflow
  • Fast charging

Cons

  • Battery dies fairly quickly
  • Doesn’t charge upright
  • High price range

Best Stonesmiths’ Slash tips and tricks

  • Wait longer than four seconds if heating manually
  • Utilize long and steady slow inhales for best results
  • Don’t overfill the chamber

An 18mm water bong will be very close to an airtight seal. Our personal favorites are use with an 18mm curved tip bubbler for super easy airflow or use with a Utillian 5 bubbler, which will be very close to an airtight seal as well.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve been looking for a super easy-to-use Weed Vaporizer focused on flavor, then the Stonesmiths’ Slash might be the right purchase for you.

With an easy-to-understand user interface, beginners and connoisseurs alike will be able to love the overall design and function.

If you can get around the fast-draining battery while on the highest temperature, there is a whole lot to love. The ceramic cup and dab tool makes cleaning a breeze compared to raw coils, and the airflow ports do an awesome job of boosting overall flavor and airflow.
