The Boundless brand has released some great portable vaporizers in the past and now tries its hand with a budget price device in the CFC Lite vape. This is a straightforward little dry herb unit that is the smallest that the brand currently offers. How does it stack up to other budget vapes?

How to use the Boundless CFC Lite?
Using the CFC Lite is about as simple as they come with dry herb vapes. Just insert the battery by screwing it in counterclockwise, remove the mouthpiece and load up your finely ground herbs. Hit the button 5 times to power up the device and hold the button to switch between one of the three temperatures. It takes about 40 seconds to heat up, and the CFC Lite vape will vibrate when it’s ready to rip.
CFC Lite Vaporizer Temperature Settings
The CFC Lite has three preset temperatures – 196°C, 206°C, and 216°C. Each of the three temperatures is represented by a different color – blue for the lowest, green for the mid-range, and red for the highest. We recommend that you stick with the middle temperature. The lowest setting tends to produce very little vapor, and using the weed vape at the highest temperature can quickly get harsh on your throat.
- For a more modern take on preset temperatures, be sure to check out the Zeus Arc GTS Hub.
Heating System and Chamber Size
The Boundless CFC Lite Vaporizer uses conduction heating, and has a ceramic oven, which is fairly standard for vaporizers at this price. You can fit about 0.3 grams of dry herbs into the chamber, which is slightly above average.
Boundless CFC Lite Vapor Quality
The vapor quality is not the best on the CFC Lite. The first few hits had a decent taste, but after that the herbs started tasting overcooked. The smoothness of the vapor is sub-par on the highest temperature, but is about average at mid-range. The vapor production the CFC Lite is light indeed, with very thin clouds and sometimes none at all.
Boundless CFC Lite Battery Life
The battery life is another area that is lacking with the Boundless CFC Lite. Most users only get two sessions on one charge, which is below average, even for this price. The fact that the 800 mAh 18350 battery on the CFC Lite is replaceable does help a little bit, but only 2 sessions per battery life is not good.
You might stretch the battery life to three sessions, but even that is under par compared to other units around the same price. In comparison, the XMAX V3 Pro Vaporizer is similarly priced and the battery life is twice as long at least.
Aesthetics and Manufacturing Quality
The unit feels good in your hand when holding it, but the plastic and rubber finish does feel a bit cheap. The rubber finish on the device is ergonomic, if nothing else. The aesthetic quality is fine enough, but a similarly priced unit like the Pax Mini looks cooler in our opinion. What you see is what you get with the CFC Lite weed vape, basically.
Portability and Discreetness
Portability is one area where the CFC Lite vape does score highly. It’s only 10 cm long and weighs only 2.5 ounces, which obviously lives up to the product name. When you’re actually vaping weed, the unit is discreet enough to cup in your hand, but the odor from the conduction heating can be an issue. You’ll want to keep this in mind if you’re trying to avoid drawing attention, to yourself while vaping weed.
What’s in the Boundless CFC Lite kit?
In addition to the unit itself, you get a cleaning brush, a USB charger, some spare chamber and mouthpiece screens, and the instruction manual. The unit also comes with a decent 1-year warranty. These accessories aren’t anything that will blow you away, but they are not terrible, either.
How to Clean the Boundless CFC Lite?
The CFC Lite is easy to keep clean. There are only two screens, a mouthpiece and the chamber to keep clean. Use the cleaning brush after every two sessions on the chamber and the mouthpiece to keep it from getting too grimed up with residue. After every ten sessions or so, we recommend soaking the screens in isopropyl alcohol and take an alcohol-soaked cotton swab to the mouthpiece and chamber. T
Summary and Comparison:
Yes, this is a budget weed vape, so we didn’t have high expectations going in. Even so, the CFC Lite is disappointing overall. The short battery life, below average vapor production and flavor along with a cheap feel to the finish of the device don’t justify the price for this vape, in our opinion. This was a disappointment, because the other devices from the Boundless brand were pretty solid, so we were a bit confused as to why they missed the mark with the CFC Lite.
If you’re in the market for a budget herb vaporizer, consider checking out the G Pen Dash, or the Litl 1. The prices on those units are similar, but you’ll get much better vapor production and quality and a longer battery life.

Lit af works good hits hard I got it for cheap n really happy with it. I just need help cleaning the vape idk how to clean the cfc lite I used water n soap but that doesn’t work n the taste is just really bad. Help appreciated thanks lots.
Rly cheap n honestly works pretty good I still like to smoke joints every once in a while but for what it is I think its rly good. Id get another battery or 2 from a local vape store bcuz then u wont have to worry about running out of battery since it is pretty small.
Works good, gave it to a friend though and went to buy the mighty vape on sale in Canada here and it works perfectly way way better than the CFC lite. Id just save the money n buy something a lot nicer its definitely worth it if u smoke weed a lot like I do.
Im a daily smoker and use weed maybe 4 times a day. This vape didn’t cut it for me even if the battery can be removed its just way too small and doesn’t last very long. I bought the Arizer Solo vape and I found that one to work really well and be perfect for what I need.
Good vape works perf 4 me n my gf at the movies get stoned alllll the time with it thanks a lot.
A+++ fast shipping good seller, good customer service communication. Package arrived at my door surprisingly quickly and I’m very happy overall.
Pros: Removable 18350 battery, light, small, big chamber, cheap
Cons: Body materials, don’t like the mouthpiece, limited temperature options (3)
I bought the Boundless CFC Lite as my first herb vape but I really just wish I bought a more expensive one at first. Don’t get me wrong its certainly an alright device and for my first weed vape I like it quite a lot, but I bought the Boundless CFC which is just in a completely different league entirely. Miles better and more powerful than the CFC lite.
I’m a medical cannabis patient and started using the device however I quickly sold it and bought another vape. This is really great and small however for my use which requires hits throughout the day it just wasn’t doing the trick. I bought the Dynavap and Arizer Solo 2 vaporizers from the website here and they’re perfect.
I quite enjoy the Dynavap in particular due to how it feels like smoking again. As a long term smoker now vaper, I loved the sensation of using a joint and the Dynavap has really given me that feeling again. Terrific device, I enjoy it a lot!
The CFC Lite on the other hand while a find device just took too long to heat up, the flavor wasn’t quite so good, and I found it used more weed to get the same effects from the Solo 2.
I bought one to use with my spouse and I think it’s a fine device. Neither of us use cannabis very often so our relative tolerances are probably quite lower than most people. Just one chamber is enough for both of us and overall we’re very satisfied with it.
