How to use the KandyPens Prism Plus?

To use these devices, just remove the mouthpiece to get to the chamber and load up your wax, shatter or oil. To power both of these devices up, just hit the button five times.  Tap three times to toggle through the four preset temperatures. The device heats up instantly and is ready to go.

What are the KandyPens Prism Plus Temperature Settings?

Both of these devices come with four preset temperatures that range from 160°C – 430°C. LED lights indicate which of the four preset temperatures you’re currently on. We found that the sweet spot would be one of the two mid-range temps, either 176.667°C or 198.889°C.

Both of these devices come with two atomizers and use conduction heating. The first atomizer uses no coils and comes with a ceramic chamber and ceramic plates. The other atomizer is dual quartz that uses coils made from titanium. The KandyPens Plus has slightly larger atomizers that allow you to load a little bit more concentrates.

    KandyPens Prism Plus Vapor Quality

The vapor quality on both of these devices is excellent, especially at the middle temperatures. The glass mouthpiece adds to the flavor and smoothness of each rip. The quality of the vapor also depends on which of the two coils you use, and how you like to vape. The highest setting will deliver some thick, milky clouds – which can be too intense for most vape users. There is virtually no draw resistance, which means you can get huge rips if you desire to do so.

    KandyPens Prism Plus Battery Life

Perhaps the biggest difference between the KandyPens Prism pen and the KandyPens Prism Plus was pen is their battery life. The standard has a 320mAh sub-ohm battery that lasts about 2 to 3 sessions per charge. The Plus has a 900mAh battery that lasts about at 4 to 5 sessions per charge. Both of these devices take about 2 hours to charge and feature pass through charging. There is a battery indicator has four LED lights to let you know what kind of juice is left.

    Manufacturing Quality

Both of these vapes feature a durable sturdy stainless steel body that won’t break easily but also feels good in your hand. They also feature a leak proof design, which means you will never run the risk of spilling or wasting any of your precious concentrates. We think that both of these devices look more aesthetically pleasing than other KandyPens like the Elite or the Gravity.

Is the KandyPens Prism Plus portable?

At four inches (10.5 cm), both the KandyPens Prism and the KandyPens Prism Plus are highly portable and discreet. The Plus is a bit heavier due to its much larger battery, but still highly portable and easy to hold. The Plus is a little bit less discreet due to the LED lights on the side that the standard model does not have. For smaller, discreet options, consider the Tronion Rhotron, Yocan Kodo Pro, and Yocan Cylo.

How to clean the KandyPens Prism Plus?

We recommend taking a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to the glass mouthpiece after every few sessions to remove any kind of bacteria. Our new Tools420 cleaning sticks are a perfect choice for keeping your KandyPens Prism or KandyPens Prism Plus nice and clean.

    KandyPens Prism Plus VS Standard

The KandyPens Prism Plus has a longer battery life, is wider, has a thicker grip and feels a bit heftier than the standard Kandypens Prism. The battery on the Plus is almost 3 times that of the standard. The Plus features LED lights on the side of the device that will light up as you draw in. The KandyPens Prism Plus is more expensive and has a much stronger battery, but the two devices are pretty much the same outside of that

    Summary and Comparison

These devices offer superb vapor quality, are discreet and portable yet highly durable, and the Plus has an excellent battery. They are a bit more expensive than most vape pens, though. Devices like the Dr. Dabber Ghost 2Puffco Pivot or the Focus V Aeris offer similar flavour at a slight premium price. The lifetime warranty on the battery does add some value to the overall price, but not enough to justify being more expensive than similar wax pens on the market today.
