Pulsar APX Triple Quartz Coils

There are no temperature settings on the Pulsar APX wax vaporizer, as it uses a fix voltage device for its triple quartz coils.

Pulsar APX Wax Heating System

The temperature gradually increases as you hold the power button, and then you release the button when you are satisfied with the temperature. Fixed wattage devices can be good for newbies who might get confused with what temperature setting to use, who might not know the best wattage to vape wax. But experienced consumers might want a device that has some flexibility, like the G Pen Micro +.

The heating element on the Pulsar APX wax vaporizer uses three quartz coils. This is different than a lot of other vaporizers that use quartz coils because usually we only see one or two coils. The three coil setup is a big part of the reason why this unit delivers such big hits. The unit heats up almost instantly, with a maximum heat-up time of about 5-10 seconds.

Vapor Quality

The vapor quality on the Pulsar APX wax vaporizer isn’t exceptional, because it was designed mostly for consumers who want quick sessions and big hits. The flavor isn’t bad because of the quartz coils, but if you are a consumer who likes flavor-rich hits, you will want to check out a unit like the Dr. Dabber Stella.

Portability and Discreteness

At only 3.5 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide, the Pulsar APX wax vaporizer is highly portable and compact. There will be no issues when it comes to fitting this little device in your pocket or hand.

The discreteness isn’t exactly there, due to the fact that the massive clouds that it can produce.

What’s the Pulsar APX Wax battery life?

The battery life on this Wax Pen is very solid, especially considering how compact and lightweight it is. The 1100mAh lithium-ion battery lasts some consumers up to two full days of moderate vaping before needing a charge. Charging the unit takes about 2-3 hours total, which isn’t the best because of the outdated Micro-USB port.

Pulsar APX Wax Build Quality

The APX wax vaporizer is made out of plastic, but it’s not cheap plastic. The unit is pretty durable and feels nice when you hold it. The compact unit can probably withstand a drop or two, but the glass mouthpiece might not.

Overall, it’s not a bad looking device, especially for the price of it. But it is a bit awkwardly designed, despite how small it is. We think a device like the Utillian 5 v3 looks a little bit better than the APX Wax vaporizer.

How to use the Pulsar APX Wax?

The Pulsar APX wax vaporizer is very easy to use. Let’s take a look at a sample session:

  1. Just take off the glass mouthpiece to expose the heating chamber and add your concentrates onto the coils.
  2. If you have concentrates that are stickier, the manufacturer recommends that you let the device heat up for a few seconds to make it easier to load.
  3. Once it’s loaded up, hit the power button five times and the unit will turn on, indicated by LED lights. When it’s on, press the button to fire up the heating element.
  4. When it’s ready to rip, the logo light will go from red to green.
  5. After that, keep holding the power button and inhale.

When you’re finished drawing in, release the button and clear the rest of the vapor that remains. This is a very straightforward and easy to use device.
