Should you buy the Tinymight vaporizer?

Convection vaporizers have long been respected for their vapor quality in the community, and the recent release of the Tinymight out of Finland is no exception. With a removable 18650 battery, super portable vaporizer design, and high-quality parts, there is a whole lot to love. In this review, we’ll be going over all of the device’s key features to help you decide whether it’s worth it or not!

  • For a whole lot more dough than the XMAX V3 Pro is it worth it? Not exactly. Read on to learn more.

How does the Tinymight work?

The TinyMight features a unique body made from oak that is enclosed by stainless steel on either end. With a glass stem mouthpiece similar to the Arizer Air MAX, you’ll have access to great vapor quality and cooling that you wouldn’t normally find on a convection vaporizer. Combining this with a heat dial like on the Weed Volcano, you have a very unique device on your hand. The fact that it was designed in Finland only further solidifies that fact.

Tinymight Key Features

  • Convection based heating
  • Changeable bowl size
  • Fast heat-up times
  • Adjustable heat dial
  • Micro-USB charging
  • Swappable 18650 Battery
  • High-quality materials
  • Glass stem mouthpiece and integrated stainless steel cooling unit
  • On-demand and session mode

TinyMight’s Isolated Airpath

The TinyMight’s isolated air path is one of the things that allows for great vapor taste, as the vapor will only be in contact with stainless steel and quartz glass in the mouthpiece. As vapor that comes into contact with electrical heating elements can have a metallic aftertaste, this can be a dealbreaker to some. The Tinymight is designed with only natural elements in mind and is proudly made with no glues, chemicals, or insulating materials.

What’s in the TinyMight kit?

The TinyMight Vaporizer comes with everything you’ll need including a USB charging cable, glass stem mouthpiece, and a unique instruction manual printed onto a wooden coaster.  You’ll also have the option of adding additional glass stems, a cooling unit, an extra-long cooling unit, a water pipe adapter, O-Rings, and a mini bubbler at your checkout.

  • x1 Tinymight dry herb vaporizer
  • x1 short glass tube / mouthpiece (55 mm)
  • x1 Cooling unit
  • x1 battery Sony VTC6 (18650) + Charger
  • x1 Wooden instruction coaster
  • x1 Spare O-rings

Heating System

As mentioned, there is a small 10-numbered dial at the bottom of the vaporizer that is used to set the temperature with. With setting 6 being 370F / 188C, we found that to be the best temperature. The whole temperature range spans between 120-240C or 250 – 460F though, so users will have a lot of options to choose from. In our experiments using a very fine grind, it wasn’t until setting 3 that we began to get noticeable hits though, so just keep that in mind when you first get your vape.

Is the TinyMight portable?

The body of the vaporizer fits super easily into the palm of the hand unlike the Solo 2. This means that during hits, only the glass stem will be visible, helping to boost discreetness when having sessions in public. As well as this, convection vaporizers often have a much more ‘toasty’ smell to the vapor than conduction ovens.

  • As the 18650 internal battery is swappable, you won’t have to worry about running out of the juice if you carry a spare 18650 vape battery, or carry a battery pack with you to easily recharge.

Tinymight Vaporizer Portability

Suitable Substances

Although the glass stem chamber is made to be used with 0.15 – 0.2g of dry herb, you can use the sandwich method to use your TinyMight for concentrates including shatter, wax, resin, and more. To do this, all you’ll need to do is place a tiny amount of resin in between a fine grind of flower, and then compress it into the stem to prevent anything from dripping down into the heating elements.

TinyMight Vapor Quality

One of the first things you’ll notice is the sheer amount of cloud production and THC extraction you’ll be able to get right out of the box. On any heat setting above 5, the vapor is seriously impressive, and anything about 8 is almost overkill. We didn’t have access to the water pipe adapter for our review, but we can imagine hitting this thing through a 14mm whip bubbler would be an absolute riot.

How long does TinyMight Battery Last?

Depending on availability, the TinyMight will come with a Molicel P26A 18650 2600mAh, or a Samsung 30Q 18650 3000mAh 15A Battery. This will last just over an hour of use, or roughly six to eight sessions depending on your style of use. In our findings, a fully depleted charge took around an hour and a half using the micro USB port. As the amount of vapor you’ll get from the device will melt your face with a smaller chamber, the shorter battery life isn’t a deal-breaker thanks to it being swappable as well.

  • Overall, this spec is overall decimated by the Arizer Solo 2 Vaporizer, for those not wishing to pick up additional batteries or battery charging bank.

How to use the TinyMight?

Similar to Arizer Vaporizers, the glass stem mouthpiece can be removed and be filled with flower. It can be a tight fit, so we recommend a gentle pull and tug method with a bit of twisting for it to come out properly. Wait.. that came out wrong! On a serious note, once the stem is out all you’ll have to do is load your medium grind into the chamber, stamp it down, and then place it back into the body of the vaporizer.

 TinyMight Session and On-Demand modes

Because the heating element is very powerful, the on-demand mode can be a super-effective way of getting your hits in. As the chamber can be heated in as little as five seconds, there isn’t a real drawback of using this mode besides the slightly awkward power button. In this mode, all you’ll have to do is press the power button three times quickly, and then hold it down until it has vibrated to let you know that it has reached the set temperature and is ready for an inhale.

For session mode, all you’ll have to do is click the power button three times, and then just hold the power button until it is no longer vibrating. After that, the TinyMight will just remain at your set temperature. For users looking for very fast sessions with quick convection extraction, this will be the mode for you.

TinyMight Microdosing

Inside the glass stem mouthpiece is a stainless steel cooling unit that helps to disperse the vapor’s heat and add a layer of cooling before inhalation. A cool feature though is that it can be slid up and down for larger or smaller chambers. Although we found the best results came from a chamber size similar to the Arizer Solo 2 at 0.15 – 0.2g, this can go as small as you’d like, or up to around 0.3g with still excellent vapor production.

How to clean the TinyMight?

You’ll find that the only parts that will only require cleaning are the glass stem chamber, and the metal cooling unit within it. If you’re a fan of the concentrate sandwich method, you’ll also want to give the flow sink that protects the heater a clean every so often. For these parts, you can easily remove them with a gentle pull or press, and then have them soak in isopropyl alcohol for about ten to thirty minutes before a hot water rinse or gentle scrub if there is still a resin buildup.

Warranty

One of the nicest things about this portable vaporizer is the 10-year warranty in case of faulty parts.

TinyMight 2 News

In July, we got first wind of the prototype of the TinyMight 2. We do know some details to share with you. These upgrades include a USB-C 45-minute charging port, an integrated stirring tool, possible included longer mouthpiece, and new wood finish. We’ll try to get our hands on one as soon as they are in production for an in-depth review! Until then, you can buy the TinyMight 2 from the manufacturer!

TinyMight Portable Vaporizer Review Conclusion

To conclude, the TinyMight glass stem chamber vaporizer is surely something to look out for as it grows in popularity. With an isolated air path and serious cloud production and THC extraction, it’s certainly a force to be reckoned with. One of the things that hurts it though is the limited battery life of one hour compared to the maximum three hours on the Arizer Solo 2 Vaporizer.

Overall, it can be considered a much more expensive XMAX V3 Pro. They are about the same size, and you’ll have access to an hour and a half of battery life, a swappable battery, and an o-LED light screen to help you with a variety of settings. With a landing cost of upwards of 400$ after shipping fees, you’re much better picking up an Arizer or XMAX for around the 100-160$ mark.
