The Arizer Air 2 Vape gets you started with excellent vapor quality right out of the box. The unit comes with a glass mouthpiece and a tip, stem caps made from silicone, a swappable 18650 battery, a USB charger and an aromatherapy sample pack. The aromatherapy sample is unique, as some users might not realize that some portable vaporizers can also perform as well  as aromatherapy devices to freshen up a room.

REVIEW OF THE ARIZER SOLO 2 BATTERY

The Arizer Air 2 vape features a 18650 battery with 3200 mAH that will last you around eighty minutes of use. Although its charging times are slightly longer than modern vapes at 2 hours, it features pass-through charging and an easily swappable battery that can be purchased separately. For the average user, they’ll be able to get about eight sessions of ten-minutes before the Air 2 will need recharging or a battery swap.

Review: HOW IS THE ARIZER AIR 2 VAPOR QUALITY?

The Arizer Air 2’s innovative hybrid heating system is still a standout feature many years later compared to direct competitors. The airpath is only in contact with glass, ceramic, and stainless steel, this ensures there is no aftertaste and consistent results as well. Although the heat-up time is slower than modern vapes at sixty seconds, the conduction oven gets a lot of vapor out of your dry herb if you don’t rush your sessions because of the convection heat jets. Overall, the smoke is very smooth to hit, but you won’t get the massive clouds that you might see on a slightly more expensive Crafty+ Vape. 

ARIZER AIR 2 ACCESSORIES

A big way of upgrading vapor quality is through equipping an Arizer Glass Stem Bubbler or Arizer Air Bong Adapter. Better flavor, smoother hits, and bigger clouds are just a few benefits of these accessories. Considering not all vaporizers have accessory capabilities, connoisseurs will love the control accessories give in combination with the heating control.

HYBRID HEATING SYSTEM

Arizer Air 2 dry herb vaporizer uses both conduction and convection heating. This combination heats your dry herbs more evenly and efficiently, resulting in high-quality draws and vapor. The warm air rises from the bottom of the vape at the glass stem, which heats up every bit of dry herb inside. With that in mind, the Air 2 slightly favors conduction heating, and you’ll mainly get these characteristics in your vapor.

As previously mentioned, the heat-up time takes about a minute. With the quality of vapor in mind, this is not a total loss, as the device will never get hot to the touch and draw resistance is relatively low. You’ll have full control over the 122 to 428 Fahrenheit (50 and 220 Celsius) temperature range, and can navigate these easily with the up and down buttons on the vape. As the temperature moves in 10-degrees, we’ve found that 380°F works best to balance flavor and cloud quality. With hybrid heating and a unique glass stem mouthpiece, the Air 2 does perform much better than vapes of similar cost.

OLED SCREEN

As a welcome upgrade from color scheme temperature control, the new unit has a precise temperature control that is digitally displayed on a small but intuitive OLED screen. This vape is controlled with simple buttons that allow you to decide what temperature you’d like to use. Because of this, the ease of use is better than more expensive vapes like the PAX 3 or the DaVinci IQC.

ARIZER AIR 2 HEAT TIME

The lengthy heat-up time is one of the only knocks on the Air 2. The Air 2 gets up to 390 degrees in about 80 seconds. The Air 2’s highest temperature is 428 degrees, and it gets there in about 100 seconds. If you’re looking for a vape that gives you those quick twitch tokes, you might want to look elsewhere. But if the fast, on-demand vaping style isn’t your thing, the Arizer Air 2 could be for you. Remember, it’s a sipper, not a ripper! In this sense though, the Air 2 may be better suited for those who prefer vapor quality over on-demand sessions.

ARIZER AIR 2 WARRANTY

The Arizer Air 2 vape comes with a warranty that lasts for two years, covering any defects or issues with the device that you didn’t cause. Most portable vaporizers in its class come with the same kind of warranty, but Arizer also offers a lifetime warranty on the heating system, which is a nice touch. It is extremely durable, and the only thing you’ll have to worry about are the glass stems which are not covered.

HOW TO USE ARIZER AIR 2?

1. Power up the Arizer Air 2 by holding down the power button for 3 seconds.
2. Adjust the temperatures by 10F using the up and down buttons.
3. Remove the glass stem and load your cannabis into the bottom chamber
4. Place the glass stem mouthpiece back into the oven and wait roughly a minute for your inhale to be ready!

As the Arizer Air 2’s chamber is only about 0.25 grams, it is on a smaller side compared to modern portable dry herb vaporizers. However, the heating chamber/ bowl is easy to pack and reload in the glass stem. As well, you don’t necessarily have to grind your herbs up to load up the Air 2 and can use a nugget without any problems. This is beginner friendly because the kit does not come with a grinder!

ARIZER AIR 2 EASE OF USE

As many of the entry-level dry herb vaporizers come with a confusing light scheme for temperature adjustments, the Air II vaporizer stands out for its ease of use. With the LED screen functionality and included accessories, you’ll have a wide array of choices on how to use the vape and as long as you don’t overfill the chamber, your sessions will always be consistent.

ARIZER AIR 2 PORTABILITY

The Arizer Air 2 comes in at 4.88 inches high with a diameter of about 1.15 inches. The ergonomic design fits nicely in your hands, but the stems can be a bit of a hassle to carry around. They are made of fragile glass, and you’ll have to keep them in mind when travelling to prevent them from breaking. Thankfully, the included carrying pouch allows you to carry a couple of pre-loaded stems with you on the go without fear of spilling any cannabis or glass.

BEST ARIZER AIR 2 TIPS AND TRICKS

To help the smaller bowl, we recommend a finer grind that will better utilize your cannabis. However, if you do this, you’ll have to use the screen in the glass stem to prevent any fine herb from going up into the stem through the air holes. Regardless of your grind preference, make sure that you don’t overpack or the hybrid heating won’t work as well, and will increase draw resistance. After every session, make sure that you clean out the chamber while any resin is still hot with an isopropyl cleaning stick. This will prevent the need for longer alcohol soaks that will take away from your vaping time.

Lastly, we recommend picking up an extra Arizer 18650 Battery to keep your sessions going while travelling.

HOW TO CLEAN ARIZER AIR 2?

The glass stems will show grime and buildup more than you’ll be used to on other mouthpieces. You’ll know it’s time for a clean when the stem’s chamber begins to yellow with a buildup of resin. The airflow holes can also be affected by this. If the airflow is affected or the yellow is starting to bug you, it may be time for a thorough cleaning. When isopropyl cleaning wipes aren’t cutting it anymore, it is time for an isopropyl bath for the glass stem and any screens you have.

Let any pieces you want clean soaked in the iso-alcohol for 30 minutes before rinsing them down with warm water. While this is happening, you can also q-tip the heating chamber. This may work best right after a session so that the resin is still warm and easier to remove. After everything is dry, you’ll be able to re-insert the glass stem and continue vaporizing. Overall, it’s best practice to do this once every month.

WHO SHOULD BUY THE ARIZER AIR 2?

The Arizer Air 2 packs a lot of great features into an affordable kit that offers excellent vapor quality and ease of use right out of the box. With a digital display and better temperature control than typical pre-sets for its price point, along with a solid battery and abilities to swap or pass-through charge. Besides the 3rd generation Zeus Arc GTS Hub, Arizer vapes are easiest to use and clean. If you value simplicity and user interface, they should be near the top of your list.

CONCLUSION

In 2021, the Arizer Air 2 is still relevant! It’s beaten out in the heavy hit department by devices like the Utillian 722 and Utillian 620, which we enjoy very much. However, the simplicity of use and cleaning is hugely appreciated, and the removable battery is a huge bonus.

If you aren’t concerned about quick heat-up times for fast vaping and don’t expect to pack a half gram in every bowl, you will be satisfied with your purchase of The Arizer Air 2. The vapor quality is top-notch. The glass components aid this, but if you’re doing a lot of travelling with your vape, you might want to take some steps to make sure the glass parts don’t break.
