Utillian has been putting out a lot devices lately with the Utillian 722 being their latest and greatest. A solid herb vape but still a bit too pricy for some, Utillian decided to add another vape option to their lineup which balances price and performance very nicely. Check out our Utillian 620 review here for more details and info!

How to use the Utillian 620?

Using the Utillian 620 is similar enough, with the power button used to switch the device on/off, and the two other buttons used to adjust the temperature up/down. You’ll want to fill the herb chamber up with ground herb, but don’t grind too finely! Pack it down gently but not too much either; you’ll want air to be able to flow easily and without restriction.

You’ll get a temperature range of 160 – 220°C (320 – 428°F), which is certainly enough for a full range of vaping.  We like to start low and end high to get the full range of effects and flavor from the herb.

Those high temperatures are definitely capable of filling up a bubbler with a nice amount of vapor while the lower temperatures give a smoother hit with a great terpene profile.

Cleaning the Utillian 622 is quite simple as you can just use the included brush to clean out the chamber easily and you can submerge the glass and screens in isopropyl alcohol to fully tidy those up too.

Alongside that, the removable heating spiral is a big benefit. Simply use the stir tool on the bottom of the device to pop it out and drop that in some iso as well. Then use the included long brush to clean out any debris in the whole vapor path.

How long does the Utillian 620 battery last?

The 2300mAh battery charges up by way of Micro-USB which is still fairly common, though we do prefer USB-C as that’s the way of the future! It’ll take around 2 hours to fully top up which isn’t bad either.

You can get around an hour of vaping, which in our experience translates to around 5-6 full chambers. This is pretty decent and par for the course for budget dry herb vapes in general. It’s by no means incredible but not bad either.

Utillian 620 Bowl Size & Heating System

The Utillian 620 uses a hybrid heating element made of stainless steel. Providing both convection and conduction heating at the same time is an awesome way to get good extraction from your herb, and is what some high-end vapes like the S&B Crafty+ uses.

You can’t really adjust the chamber and it’s really best suited for dry herb. For use with wax we recommend a dedicated wax pen vape for that real dab-like experience.

The chamber can accommodate around 0.1-0.2 grams of dry herb, which is great for microdosing or for solo/duo use. For group sessions, we recommend a unit like the G Pen Elite 2 with its sizeable 0.5 gram bowl.

How’s the Utillian 620 Vapor Quality?

It’s a furious little device for sure and punches far above its weight class! The vapor path is nicely isolated and composed of metal and glass. As a result the flavor is strong and unchanged, and definitely very good compared to other budget dry herb vapes.

Cloud production is solid but isn’t quite on the level of other devices with larger chambers and more powerful heating elements, but still quite good. The AVB which comes out is mostly even, but using the integrated stir stick you can easily stir it mid-session for good consistency.

Airflow is nice and not too restricted, which makes taking a hit less of a task and much more simple!

Overall the vapor quality of the Utillian 620 is very good and it hits far above its price point and weight category. If you want a budget portable herb vape with strong hits, this is the one for you!

How big is the Utillian 620?

It’s bite sized, that’s for sure! It’ll fit in the palm of your hand comfortably and any pant or jacket pocket you can think of.  Only a few inches high and long and barely an inch wide, it’s very small and light as well.

While it doesn’t exactly look like an e-cig, most people won’t care if you’re using it and likely think it’s an e-juice vape anyways. It does put out a decent amount of smell, but nothing like smoking or pure conduction budget herb vapes. In fact, we’d put it as one of the best stealthy herb vapes around.

Utillian 620 Manufacturing Quality

Utillian has been putting out quite a bit of devices lately and the Utillian 620 seems to be really well built. The body is attractive, the metal finish is nice, it’s a subtle black, and the integrated stir tool which is found in the bottom of the unit is well-appreciated.

Replacement parts are around and you can even cross them with those found on the Fury Edge. At the price it’s available at, it’s definitely one of the best budget herb vapes around and we’d totally put it above most on our list.

Is the Utillian 620 worth it?

The Utillian 620 is definitely good for both advanced and beginner users and is a really solid addition to any lineup. If it’s going to be your first portable dry herb vape then it’s a great fit, and if you already have an herb vape but need something small but portable, this is what we’d pick.

If you’re a heavy user, then you might not be satisfied by the bowl size and would benefit from something like the Mighty+ or Utillian 722. For everyone else though, this device should be just fine, especially to start with.

Utillian 620 Bubblers and Bong Adapters

One of the best ways to get the most out of this vaporizer is by attaching the Utillian 620 Bubbler or Utillian 620 Bong Adapter. With an increase in flavor, vapor quality, and smoothness it’s definitely a bonus to take into account when considering the Utillian 620.

Utillian 620 Vaporizer Review Conclusion

We’re pretty fond of this little unit and it certainly hits the button in a lot of places. While it doesn’t have a removable battery or USB-C charging, there aren’t really any other cons we can think of.

The performance is solid, the price is right, battery life is good, and it’s quite small! If you’re in the market for a small, budget dry herb vape, then it’s worth it to drop a little more on this device.

Utillian 620 Best Tips and Tricks

To get the best performance from your Utillian 620, you can follow some of our basic dry herb vape tips and tricks below!

  • Use medium ground herb packed lightly, not too fine but not too coarse! Scissors and hand-picking doesn’t quite work so well.
  • Inhale gently over 10 seconds – too hard of a rip may not perform so well with the device!
  • Stir the bowl halfway through the load with the stir tool on the bottom of the device.
  • Get a hold of a Utillian glass bubbler for maximum cooling and flavor!
  • Save your AVB (already vaped bud) for later, it can get you high again!
